The band\u2019s root is based on Japanese aesthetic from the Japanese shakuhachi &amp; shamisen musics (zen, folk, ensemble music), but like bamboo has the flexibilty to bend and flex with other traditions and forms. The Ryuzen Trio is joined by superlative percussionist, Curtis Andrews (mrdangam, kanjira, kit) and multi-instrumentalist Greg Valou (guitar, bass, hang).
