This 1.8 Nyoen is in original condition, with its traditional towari tuning. The only thing that I think it needed was an ikigaeshi, since the bore was extremely wide, more than an average vintage Kinko wide bore, some players may struggle with this.

GYOKUSUI 1.8 Jiari
A very nice Kinko 1.8 made by the highly respected maker Kono Gyokusui II. A pure and sweet sounding flute. Slightly mellow with a dark tone and a strong harmonic core. Somewhat old school kinko sound. Good back pressure when blowing. Comes into focus well with a moderate breath and relaxed embouchure. Silvery second octave and good balance between the octaves. Well tuned and all Kinko techniques work well. Several hairline cracks have been sealed and the flute is bound. Comes with cap.

Harvested in Nagano on the Shakuhachi Roots Pilgrimage over 20 years ago, this awesome jinashi amber utaguchi 2.6 made by Alcvin Ryuzen Ramos. This flute vibrates within the warm, embracing, complex harmonic spectrum of the best jinashi shakuhachi. As this is the largest amber utaguchi inserted to date, the healing vibes are even more pronounced. Pitched spot on G, it plays well into the 3rd octave and 4th octaves. No cracks.

CHokusui 2.o JIari
Shakuhachi jiari 2.0 by Japanese maker Chokusui. Tozan utaguchi with silver lining. Bought in 2011. Rattan nagastuki. This flute was sent to Perry Yung for adding length to get the C tuning hence the large rattan biding. The 2 cracks (long one on the first segment and a small crack below the 4th hole) are very stable. Nice tuning all over, plays well from otsu up to dai-kan, round dark tone. Comes with a cloth bag, plastic bag ,and utaguchi cap. Shipping included in the price.
